Braxton-Hicks contractions: what do they feel like?
Braxton-Hicks contractions are false contractions that can start as early as 20 weeks of pregnancy or even earlier. They are painless and are a tightening of the pregnant belly. They do increase in frequency or intensity.
They go away with rest and proper hydration.
The pregnany mother can talk during the Braxton-Hicks contraction.
Not every pregnant woman expeience Braxton-Hicks contractions. They are not dangerous for the baby or the mother.
